For boys that is!! While the girls were in dance, Noah came over so he and Eric could play Wii Star Wars. I'm not sure who had more fun - Eric because he had a friend over, Noah (I'm assuming he had fun), or me - it's almost like having no kids when friends come over!! Thanks, Deb, for letting him come over! Here's the only shot I was able to get!

Today was the first day of swimming lessons for the kids. They are taking them through Parks and Rec. Jaelyn is taking semi-private lessons (we just weren't too sure how much 1-on-1 she might need) and Jessica and Eric are taking group lessons. They love being in the water. Today we finished our lessons just about 10 minutes before the big downpour! And, can you tell I love my new camera with video!! How could you tell!!?? Jessica was at the end of class, so they were just playing around.

When will the lazy, dog days of summer be here? I look forward to summer just to be able to relax and get away from the routine. Well, we are definitely away from the routine - it seems like we are doing something different every day! Now don't get me wrong - I do love the break from the normal routine of school, but it seems like since school has been out, we have been on the go, go, go!! The latest was celebrating Eric's baseball season with an end of the season party at Skateplex. It was a fun time (except that the coach's son broke his wrist!). The kids haven't been skating in a little while and since Skateplex will be closing soon, we're not sure how often they will get to go skating. Here are a couple of pictures and video of the day I'm kind of bummed the vidoes turned out so dark, but at least I know what they are!

We've just been on the go the last few days! I wanted to post one more party picture! Gracie was at Jessica's party Wednesday night but forgot to bring her present. So, the next morning when her grandma picked her up, she brought her present! Here's a picture of Jessica with Gracie. Unfortunately, Gracie had to leave and the other kids played the game (there was only one girl left from the slumber party and Eric and 2 other friends were now here). On Friday, we were invited to Isaac's 7 th birthday party at Lake Gladewater . There were a ton of kids and a good time was had by all. It was a scorcher and a good day to be at the lake! Thanks, Laura H, for the invite! Happy Birthday, Isaac (unfortunately (or I guess fortunately), too much fun was happening and I didn't even get a picture of the birthday boy!). So, one last post about Jessica's birthday. We don't do 'kid' parties every year. We try to do them every other year but she hasn't had a kid party since she was 5 (I guess technically we only missed one, but it seems like a long time!). She's been talking about having a slumber party for her 9th birthday since she went to her first slumber party last September. So, we had the party scheduled for last Friday. She invited her 3 closest friends. Unfortunately only 2 were able to come, but we were going to go with that. On Friday, Jessica woke up and didn't feel good and later in the day, one of the friends who could come was also sick. So, we postponed the party until last night. All 3 of her friends could come. I think (I'm hopeful?) that they all had a good time. They are good kids! Eric went to stay with a friend so it was only GIRL power!! Jaelyn was a little disappointed that she wasn't allowed to do everything with the big girls, but she survived...

June 21, 2009 was a very special day! Not only was it Father's Day - hope you had a great day, babe! It was also Jessica's 9th birthday. My, how the time flies! Probably, the most important activity on June 21, 2009, was the decision made by Jessica and Eric to be baptized! We are so proud of their decision to make Jesus the Lord and Savior of their lives. They made that decision several months ago and followed through with baptism this last Sunday. We love you guys and are so proud of you. Happy Father's Day (sorry I don't have any more pictures!) And one more (at least for now) happy birthday Jessica (the cake is Mmmm, Mmmm, good!)
