Eviction
Your prayers would be appreciated! We are in the process of evicting the tenants who are living in our house in Omaha, NE. This go around has been frustrating to say the least! The house was vacant beginning in April (when the double mortgage started). We did quite a few updates (thank goodness for a tax refund) and didn't get it re-rented (we really wanted to sell it) until mid September.
To make a long story short, for some miraculous reason, they paid the 2 weeks of September and the October rent fine (it went to finish paying for the updates), then somehow the security deposit bounced, they didn't pay November and haven't paid December. They were rather evasive when the court tried to serve eviction papers.
Finally the court hearing is next Monday (December 15). We'd just ask your prayers that this would all go smoothly and they wouldn't be damaging the place! We're looking for a good realtor (our last one would not be considered in the 'good' category). We'd like to get it back on the market as soon as possible.
So, your prayers would be appreciated in this process. As I've mentioned in previous posts, God has blessed with a wonderful job that allows us to pay 2 mortgages. However, has the result of paying these 2 mortgages, we won't be able to go to Michigan for Christmas like we planned (we haven't been back up to Michigan for 2 years!) and there are others cuts that we've made.
